    • 2 POUNDS FRESH TURNIP GREENS
    • 6 SLICES BACON, CHOPPED
    • WATER TO COVER
    • 3 MEDIUM TURNIPS, DICED
    • 2 TEASPOONS SUGAR
    • SALT TO TASTE


    Instructions


    1. WASH AND PICK THE GREENS, TEAR INTO BITE SIZED PIECES.
    2. COOK BACON TILL CRISP, SET ASIDE RESERVE THE DRIPPINGS
    3. PUT GREENS IN A LARGE POT COVER WITH WATER. ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS INCLUDING THE BACON AND BACON DRIPPINGS.
    4. BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT TO A SIMMER, COVER POT AND SIMMER 35-40 MINUTES, OR UNTIL GREENS AND TURNIPS ARE AS TENDER AS YOU LIKE THEM
