List of Ingredients



• 1 cup shortening
  
• 2 cups brown sugar
  
• 1 tsp salt
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  
• 2 eggs (beaten)
  
• 3 cups flour
  
• 1 tsp baking soda
  
• 1/4 cup milk
  
• 1 cup chopped nuts
  






Instructions



1. Combine shortening, salt, vanilla and nuts. Add brown sugar gradually and cream well
   
   
2. Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly
   
   
3. Sift flour with soda
   
   
4. Add 1/2 of flour mixture to creamed mixture. Then add milk and remaining flour and nuts, mixing well
   
   
5. Drop from teaspoon on greased baking sheet
   
   
6. Let stand for a few minutes then flatten by stamping with a glass covered with a damp cloth
   
   
7. Bake in a 350 oven 8-10 minutes
