    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 cup sugar
    • one egg, unbeaten
    • 1 tsp almond extract
    • 2 1/2 cups flour


    Instructions


    1. Cream shortening and butter. Add sugar and cream well
    2. Add egg and extract
    3. Add the flour to make a stiff dough
    4. Pinch off a small ball of dough and place it in the center of cookie tin.
    5. Press dough evenly on inside of tin with thumb, spreading it as thin as possible
    6. Place filled tins on cookie sheet
    7. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees)for 15 minutes or until golden brown
    8. Cool before removing from tins. To remove, invert the tin and tap gently.


    Final Comments


    Clean tins with a dry cloth only
