A favorite of everyone and easy to make too!
List of Ingredients
- 2 sticks of butter or margarine
- 2 cups of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 3 cup of flour
- 1 can of cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Soften butter or margarine by having at room temperature, or by putting in microwave only 10 seconds.
- Add the sugar, and beat till blended well.
- Add the vanilla.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Gradually add the flour stirring in a little at a time,
till all three cups are added.
- Pour three quarters of batter into a 13x9 well greased pan.
- Spoon cherry pie filling onto top of batter.
Making sure filling doesn't touch sides of pan.
- Add the rest of the batter on top, connecting the batter over the cherry filling.
- Spinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Cool in pan, and cut into squares for serving.
