    Cheese: Cheese Hooies

    List of Ingredients

    1/4 pound butter
    1/4 pound Cheddar cheese grated
    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 dash red pepper

    Recipe

    Cream butter and finely grated Cheddar cheese together. Add salt and red
    pepper. Then work in the flour, using your hands, until thoroughly
    blended. Knead dough on board until smooth, then roll into a long, thin
    roll and put in refrigerator until well chilled. Slice thinly, place on
    cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. The Hooies
    should be starting to brown but not too golden. Serve with cocktails,
    tomato juice, salad or soup.
