    Butterscotch Cream Cheese Bars

    List of Ingredients

    1 2/3 cups nestle® toll house® butterscotch morsels
    6 Tbs butter or margarine
    2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    2 cups chopped walnuts
    16 oz cream cheese, softened
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    2 Tbs lemon juice

    Recipe

    1 MELT morsels and butter in medium, heavy-duty saucepan over lowest possible heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Stir in crumbs and walnuts. Reserve 2 cups crumb mixture for topping; press remaining mixture into ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 12 minutes.
    2 BEAT cream cheese and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour and lemon juice. Pour over crust; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
    3 BAKE at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into diamonds (see Creative Cuts tip box, page 74) or bars; chill.
    4 Makes 4 dozen bars
