    Buttermilk Biscuits

    List of Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup chilled butter, diced
    1 cup buttermilk


    Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 375.
    2. Combine dry ingredients and sift into mixing bowl. Add butter to dry
    ingredients and rub them together between your thumbs and fingers until
    thoroughly combined and mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
    3. Add buttermilk and gently fold in with a wooden spoon just until mixture
    is combined.
    4. Turn dough out onto well floured surface and dust with additional flour.
    With rolling pin roll out dough to 1 1/2 inches thick. Cut into 2 1/2 to 3
    inch rounds or shape of your choice.
    5. Place at least 2 inches apart on nonstick or black steel baking sheet.
    Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or till brown.
