    Cheddar Chive Beer Bread

    3 cups self-rising flour
    3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
    1/2 cup sugar
    12 ounces beer
    1/2 cup butter or margarine -- melted

    Recipe



    Combine flour, cheese, chives and sugar. Stir in beer. Pour into a
    lightly greased 9 x 5" loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Pour
    melted
    butter over top. Bake 10 more minutes.

    Note: Non-alcoholic or light beer may be substituted.

    Make a Sweet Beer Bread (omitting the cheese and chives) gift kit.
    Place
    dry ingredients in a zip-top bag or a jar and package together with a
    bottle of beer.
