    Bread: Italian Bread

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups warm water
    2 tbs vegetable or olive oil
    3 1/2 cups bread flour
    2 tsp salt
    1/2 tbs sugar
    2 1/2 tsp fast acting yeast
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp Parmesan cheese
    dash garlic powder
    dash oregano

    Recipe

    Place in bread maker pan, in order, water, oil, flour, salt,
    sugar
    and
    yeast. Mix on "dough" setting. Remove from bread maker to
    floured
    surface;
    punch down and shape into ball. Place in greased 2 1/2 quart

    casserole.
    Combine beaten egg, cheese, garlic powder, and oregano.
    Baste
    egg
    mixture
    onto dough. Cover loaf and let rise until doubled, about 45
    minutes
    to 1

    hour. Baste again with egg mixture. Bake in 350º F. oven for
    30 to
    35
    minutes. Serves 8 to 12.
