    2 cups baking mix
    1 cup milk
    1/3 cup chocolate syrup
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 egg
    1/2 cup toasted chopped hazelnuts
    HAZELNUT CREAM
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur

    Heat belgian waffle iron (regular waffle iron can be used; bake time
    may be
    slightly shorter). Beat all ingredients except hazelnuts and hazelnut
    cream
    in medium bowl until smooth. Stir in hazelnuts. Pour batter from cup or
    pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until
    steaming slows. Carefully remove waffle. While waffles are baking, prepare
    hazelnut cream. Serve with waffles and additional chopped toasted
    hazelnuts
    if desired. 6 servings (two 4-inch squares each); 515 calories per
    serving.
    Hazelnut Cream: Beat all ingredients in chilled bowl until stiff.
