    Double Frosted Brownies

    List of Ingredients

    2 1-oz squares unsweetened chocolate
    1/3 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup sifted flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup broken nuts

    Recipe

    Melt chocolate and butter over hot water. Beat in sugar and eggs. Sift
    together dry ingredients and stir in. Mix in nuts. Spread in greased 8-inch
    square pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes or until top has dull crust in preheated
    350F oven. Cool slightly.

    Icing:
    1/4 cup soft butter
    2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
    1 tbs cream
    1 tsp vanilla

    Brown butter over medium heat. Blend in sugar, cream and vanilla. Spread on
    brownies. Cool until firm. Cut into 24 1-inch bars.

    Topping:
    1 1-oz square unsweetened chocolate
    1 tbs butter

    Melt chocolate and butter. Cool; spread thin coating over icing.
