    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup butter
    1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
    1/2 cup chopped peanuts
    10 ounces (about 1 1/4 cups) jelly or jam

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and
    sugar until light and fluffy.

    In another bowl, combine flour, salt,
    and soda; add to the creamed mixture,
    stirring until well blended.

    Stir in rolled oats and chopped peanuts.

    Press half of the crumb mixture into
    the bottom of a buttered 13x9x2-inch
    baking pan.

    Spread with jelly; sprinkle with remaining
    crumb mixture.

    Bake at 400° F for 25 minutes.

    Cool and cut into bars.
