Rice Krispie Bars

1 Cup granulated sugar
1 Cup light corn syrup
1 Cup peanut butter
6 Cups Rice Krispies
Recipe
Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil; stir and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in
peanut butter until melted. Stir in rice krispies until well coated. Pour
into prepared pan and smooth evenly. If desired, combine 1 cup semi-sweet
chocolate chips and 1 cup butterscotch chips and melt. Spread over bars.
Cool and cut into squares.
Variation: Ooey Gooey Krispers
Make the sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter mixture as above. Use 2 cups
corn flakes, 2 cups rice krispies and 1 cup oatmeal instead of all rice
krispies. Pour into greased 7x11-inch pan.
