Best Peanut Butter Cookies

3/4 cup flour (unsifted)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1/2 cup salted spanish peanuts
1/2 cup lite brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Recipe
Thoroughly sift together flour and baking soda. Cream butter and peanut butter. Add one at a time: brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla, beating after adding each. Add flour mixture and mix well with a spoon. Stir in peanuts and chocolate pieces. Drop by heaping teaspoons, about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Press down with a floured fork making a criss-cross pattern. Reflour fork for each cookie. Bake. Let stand for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool.
