    2 cups flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1 cup butter -- room temperature
    1 cup packed light brown sugar
    1 egg -- separated
    1 cup chopped walnuts
    2 tablespoons sugar

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350F. Line a 15 1/2x10 1/2-inch jelly-roll pan with foil. Mix
    flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. In a large bowl beat butter and brown sugar
    with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in egg yolk. Stir in flour mixture
    untill well-blended, then 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Spread in pan. For
    topping, beat egg white with a fork until frothy; brush over dough. Mix
    sugar, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup walnuts; sprinkle on
    top. Bake 25-30 minutes until lightly browned. Cool slightly in pan on
    rack. Lift foil by ends onto cutting board. While still warm, cut baked
    dough into 2-inch diamonds
