    1 cup sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 stick margarine or butter, softened
    1 3/4c. all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375. Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, and egg in a large
    bowl. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Divide dough in half;
    stir in cinnamon into one half. Shape l level teaspoonful dough from
    each half into a 3 inch rope. Place ropes side by side; twist
    gently. Repeat with remaining dough. Place twists about 2 inches
    apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until
    very light brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
