    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    2 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    3 Tbs unsalted butter
    3 Tbs margarine
    1/2 cup packed dark-brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    42 mini chocolate kisses
    granulated sugar

    Recipe



    1 Stir the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
    2 Beat the butter, margarine and sugar in bowl until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla until well blended. Stir in the flour mixture. Shape into disk; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
    3 Heat oven to 350°. For each cookie, place mini chocolate kiss on 1/2 tablespoon of dough. Press dough around kiss to completely enclose. Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets.
    4 Bake in 350° oven 10 to 12 minutes. While still warm, roll in granulated sugar. Cool on racks.
    5 Makes: about 3 1/2 dozen. Prep: 20 minutes. Chill: several hours. Bake: at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
