    1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
    2 cups sugar
    3 Tbs flour
    3 eggs
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell

    Recipe



    Cream butter at high speed of an electric mixer; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add flour, and beat until smooth. Add eggs; beat until blended. Add buttermilk and vanilla; beat well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake at 400°F for 4 minutes; reduce heat to 350°F, and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until set. Cool to room temperature; then chill.
    2 Makes one 9 inch pie
