Mama's Strawberry Pie

List of Ingredients
2 deep dish pie crusts
1 quart fresh strawberries, washed, stems removed, and sliced
1 3/4 cup water
1 3/4 cup sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
Recipe
Prick the bottoms of the pie crusts and bake according to package
directions. Let the crusts cool.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the sugar, water, and
cornstarch. Microwave on HIGH for 12-15 minutes or until mixture
becomes clear and thick. Add the Jello to the cornstarch mixture. Let
the mixture cool.
When cool, add strawberries. Divide this mixture evenly between the
two pie crusts. Refrigerate overnight and serve with whipped cream or
Cool Whip.
