    2 pints strawberries -- halved
    1 cup sugar
    3 Tbsps. cornstarch
    1 cup water
    3 Tbsps. strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
    1 9 inch pie pastry -- baked
    Whipped cream -- optional

    Recipe



    Place strawberries in a large bowl and set aside. Mix sugar, cornstarch
    and water in a saucepan; cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove
    from the heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Pour over berries; mix
    well. Pour into pie shell; refrigerate until set. Top with whipped cream
    if desired.

    6-8 servings
