    Crust:

    Unbaked 9 inch single-crust pie shell. (See instructions on shortening package.)

    Filling:

    a.. 3 eggs
    b.. 1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
    c.. 1 14oz. can pumpkin
    d.. 1 cup sour cream
    e.. 1 tsp. cinnamon
    f.. 1/2 tsp. allspice
    g.. 1/4 tsp. salt
    h.. 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
    i.. 12-15 pecan halves

    Recipe



    Crust:
    Preheat oven to 375F. Prepare pie shell in 9 inch pie plate. Set aside.

    Filling:

    1. Beat eggs and brown sugar just until blended.
    2. Stir in pumpkin, sour cream, spices and salt. Mix well.
    3. Sprinkle nuts over pie shell. Pour pumpkin mixture over nuts.
    4. Bake at 375F. on lower oven rack for 35 to 40 minutes.
    5. Decorate top with pecan halves. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer, or just until filling is set. Makes 8 servings.
