    6 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    6 eggs
    3 cups sugar
    1/2 pound butter, at room temperature
    1/2 cup vegetable shortening, at room temperature
    1 1/2 tablespoons lemon extract
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
    1/2 cup water

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar,
    butter, shortening, lemon extract, nutmeg and water. On a floured
    surface, roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2
    1/2-inch circle biscuit cutter.

    Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in oven for 15 to 25 minutes,
    or until slightly golden on the edges. Serve.

    Yield: 50 cakes
    Prep Time: 15 minutes
    Cook Time: 25 minutes
