List of Ingredients




2 cups flour
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
4 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup butter (or shortening)
1 tsp soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla


Recipe



Mix the flour, sugar, and salt. In a saucepan, mix the butter, water, and cocoa. Bring it to a boil and pour over the flour mixture. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Bake in an oblong pan for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Texas Sheet Cake Frosting

5 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp milk
1 stick butter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Heat the cocoa, butter and milk in a pan, but don't boil. Remove from heat. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. When cool, spread on cake.
