Yellow Whipped Cream Cake

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 cups whipping cream -- chilled
3 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
CHERRY TOPPING:
1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling -- chilled
3/4 cup whipping cream -- chilled
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Recipe
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x13" baking pan.
In a chilled bowl, beat cream until stiff.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Fold eggs and vanilla into
whipped cream.
Stir together remaining ingredients, fold gently into whipped cream/egg
mixture until blended. Pour into pan.
Bake about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes
out clean. Cool. Top with cherry topping.
CHERRY TOPPING: Beat chilled whipping cream, almond extract, and powdered
sugar until stiff. Fold in chilled pie filling. Serve on squares of
cake.
