    2 teaspoons olive oil
    2 shallots -- minced
    2 teaspoons fresh ginger -- grated
    3 plum tomatoes
    -- peeled, seeded and diced
    1 tablespoon cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon honey
    4 cloves
    1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

    Recipe



    Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté shallots and
    ginger until soft, about 4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a
    boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook, stirring frequently, until thickened,
    about 20 minutes. Purée or crush with potato masher. Chill and serve.
