1 pound prepared fruit, fresh or frozen (add cinnamon and nutmeg, if
using apples)
1 1/3 cups Bisquick
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 stick butter, melted
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread fruit evenly in the bottom of a
9-by-9-inch metal pan. If the fruit is frozen, put the pan in the
oven while preheating. If using fresh fruit, do not preheat the
fruit. Sprinkle with any spices desired.
Combine the Bisquick, sugar and beaten egg until mixture resembles
crumbs. Spread the mixture evenly over the fruit and pour the melted
butter evenly over the top.
Bake at 350 for about 55 minutes. Center of crust should be hard to
the touch and brown when done. If more baking time is needed, lower
the heat to 325.
