    Classic Tuna Casserole

    2 1/2 cups medium noodles
    1 cup frozen peas
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup milk
    1 small can tuna in water
    optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar or cubed Velveeta cheese
    crushed potato chips

    Recipe



    Cook the noodles until just tender as package directs.
    Place the peas in a colander and drain the noodles over
    them to thaw. In an 8 cup casserole combine the soup,
    noodles, peas, milk, tuna and 1/2 of cheese if you are
    using it. Top with the remaining cheese and sprinkle a
    layer of crushed potatoes over the top. Bake at 350
    degrees for about 30 minutes til bubbly. Notes: My mom
    didn't use cheese and we loved it. Very basic! You can
    use cream of celery soup as well, bread crumbs instead
    of chips, frozen mixed vegetables instead of peas, or
    minced onion.
