List of Ingredients
4 lbs. unpeeled medium fresh shrimp
1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
4 cups canned diluted chicken broth
4 oz. vermicelli or thin spaghetti, uncooked
1 carton sour cream, 8 oz
1/4 cup dry sherry
Recipe
Peel and devein shrimp; set aside. Sauté sliced mushrooms and chopped green onions in a melted butter in a large skillet until vegetables are tender. Add shrimp, and sauté 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. sprinkle mixture with salt and pepper. Remove form heat. Set aside and keep shrimp and vegetable mixture warm. Place chicken broth in a large Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Add vermicelli and return to a boil. Boil 6 to 8 minutes or until vermicelli or until al dente; drain well. Place vermicelli in large serving bowl. Add shrimp and vegetable mixture, sour cream and sherry. toss gently to combine. Serve at once. Serves 4 to 6
