    Makes: enough for one 8 inch by 8 inch by 2 inch
    cake

    If you're not brave enough to try a root beer
    cake, consider this frosting instead. It goes great
    on a vanilla cake, but feel free to experiment.


    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup butter, margarine or vegetable
    shortening
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 cups of confectioners' sugar
    about 4 tablespoons cream or milk
    1 teaspoon root beer extract

    Recipe



    Work the butter and salt with a spoon or electric
    beater until fluffy and creamy. Add in
    confectioners' sugar and cream alternately, while
    continuing to stir with spoon or beat. Add only
    enough cream to achieve spreading consistency.
    Add the vanilla, and spread on cake.
