1 1/4 c milk
1 egg (beaten)
1/4 c shortening
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 c white flour
1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
Recipe
Place ingredients in pan and set breadmaker to dough setting. Roll dough to
1/2" thick.
Cut with doughnut cutter. Let rise, covered, 30 minutes or until doubled.
Deep fry at 375 F (190 C). Turn doughnuts as they rise to the surface; fry
until golden brown both sides
Drain on paper towel. Roll in sugar or leave plain.
