Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

For Mix:
9 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
3 c. packed brown sugar
3 c. granulated sugar
4 c. vegetable shortening
3 c. chopped pecans
4 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate
chips
Recipe
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and sugars in large
bowl. Mix in shortening with pastry blender. Stir in pecans
and chocolate chips. Store in airtight container in a cool,
dry place for up to 6 months. For longer storage,
refrigerate
or freeze. Yields approximately 28 cups mix.
For Cookies:
7 c. chocolate chip cookie mix
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Stir the mix to distribute chips and nuts evenly.
Combine with vanilla and eggs. This makes heavy batter. Drop
by heaping teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350
degrees for
10 to 12 minutes.
