Flour Tortillas

List of Ingredients
4 c. flour
4 Tbsp. shortening
3 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. hot water
Recipe
Mix dry ingredients. Add shortening and hand mix until
lumpy. Add water a little at a time, mixing together. Knead
about 5 minutes into a ball. Cover with shortening; let stand
in a bowl a few minutes. Divide dough and roll into 16 balls
for large tortillas and 30 balls for small tortillas. Dip
balls into flour, roll out into tortillas. Bake on a hot
griddle, turning 4 times.
