    Potatoes: Garlic Smashed Potatoes

    1/2 cup garlic cloves
    4 pounds red potatoes
    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup cream
    6 tablespoons butter
    1 teaspoon salt
    pepper -- to taste

    Recipe



    Place garlic cloves in a single layer on a sheet of heavy-duty
    aluminium foil. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Roast potatoes t in a
    400 degree oven for 45 minutes or until soft.

    Unwrap and let cool until touchable.

    Peel cloves and mash with potatoes.

    To boil potatoes: Scrub potatoes and remove eyes. Cook in salted
    boiling water for 20 minutes or until tender.

    Drain potatoes.

    In pan or bowl, combine potatoes, garlic cloves, and all the other
    ingredients. Mash with a potato masher. Serve warm.
