Poultry: Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings

List of Ingredients
3 lb whole chicken (use what size will fill your crockpot)
salt & pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 sm onion, chopped
¼ tsp thyme
1 Bay leaf
1 c chicken broth (use cooking wine to reduce fat)
1 c water
1 c sour cream
1 c biscuit mix (homemade or bisquick)
1 T parsley or basil
6 T milk
Recipe
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and place in crockpot. Add garlic, onions, thyme, bay leaf, broth, and water.
Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours.
Remove Bay leaf. Stir in sour cream.
Increase heat to high.
Combine biscuit mix with milk until well moistened. Drop dumpling in by the teaspoon around edge of pot.
Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.
