SERVE WITH:
A side of vegetables or salad makes a nutritious meal, that
is hot and
fresh
in minutes.
PREPARATION TIP FOR CHILDREN:
Kids will enjoy helping you to prepare their favorite wrap
recipe. To
get
them involved, place sparated biscuit dough on a clean
counter top.
Cover one biscuit with a small sheet of wax paper. Allow
child to
flatten biscuit with the palm of their hands. Help fill and
fold the
biscuit dough in
half, then the kids can press edges with a fork to seal.
GOLDI'S NOTES:
The BBQ Variation, Bologna, Green Chili and Cheddar Filling,
Reuben
Filling,
Roast filing and Tuna Filling are my original creations,
adapted from
other
favorite sandwich filling recipes.
I admit I am scratch biscuit challenged. But I can crack a
can like a
champ!!LOL
But I have seen a recipe for whole wheat biscuits, using
half the
flour
called for
with whole wheat. If you can do that you could make Rye
Biscuits,
which
would be
great with my Reuben version.
Also any filling can be used, following the basic recipe of
1 cup meat, beans, chicken, fish
1/3 cup cheese
1/3 cup cooked veggies
1-2 tablespoons mayo, miracle whip, bbq sauce, mustard,
salsa, chili
sauce, or salad dressing of choice.
Or any favorite potato topper, coney island sauce, or
chili--I would
imagine would
be yummy, as long as it is on the dry side.
This wrap recipe can be used with any flavor pie filling,
for dessert
wraps.
As always you are only limited by your imagination.
You get the idea--as always you are limited by your own
imagination.
Another hint I ran across recently--it you don't have a 5
inch cutter
use an
similar sized plastic coffee can lid.
