A brown paper lunch bag
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste, also optional)
Recipe
Put popcorn kernels in a bowl and coat with vegetable oil and salt. Pour
into the brown paper bag. Fold the top down 3 times, small folds are better. Plac
e in the microwave with the folded top up. Cook on high for 2-4 minutes
(microwaves vary). Stop when you hear a pause in popping of about 2 minutes. You’
re ready to go!
Alternative Ideas:
Skip the oil and salt and add butter afterwards.
Sprinkle with parmesan, dry ranch dressing, seasoning salt, garlic, cinnamon
and suger, or anything else that sounds good.
Popcorn salt has finer grains and can taste better.
Substitute olive oil for the vegetable oil.
Use spray butter or spray salad dressing.
Smear butter on an inside wall of the paper bag instead of oil, fold bag as
usual and shake well before opening.
Seal your bag with a small piece of tape, if necessary.
If you don’t use butter or oil, you can reuse the bag.
