Homemade Swiffer Refill Cloths

With mostly hardwood floors in our house. I use the "Swifter" quite often and found myself spending quite a bit of $ on the refills. I learned this tip from a stay at home moms website.
Cut up an old receiving blanket or other similar fabric in the size needed for your "Swifter". Use and toss in the wash machine to be used again.
I use this both with the dry swiffer and the wet swifter and it works great.
I tried "sheet like" material and it didn't work well. Make sure it's a heavier fabric such as that of a receiving blanket.
