2 cups all purpose flour
1 Tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk
Recipe
Combine first 3 ingredients; cut in shortening until crumble (I use a
2 FORK for this)
3 Add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out
4 onto a floured surface, and knead lightlly 3 or 4 times. Roll dough to
5 /2 inch thickness; cut with a 2/1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on a
6 lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or
7 until golden. Yield: 1 dozen
8 SANDY'S NOTES: I turn the temperature down to 400, omit greasing the
9 pan, and bake closer to 10 minutes. You might try this first rather
10 than having overly browned biscuits. Additionally, I find most biscuits
11 dry unless I brush them with melted margarine as soon as they come out
12 of the oven, so this is what I do. These are very yummy and tender.
