Beef: Ground Beef Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1 T. salt
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide or lasagna noodles
2 T. butter
2 c. sm. curd cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. finely chopped green onions
2 T. finely chopped green pepper
Recipe
Brown beef in fat; stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Remove
from heat. Boil noodles; drain. Add butter. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream,
cream cheese, onions and green pepper. Spread half the noodles in 9x13" baking
dish; cover with cheese mix. Add remaining noodles; top with meat sauce. Bake at
350° for 30 min.; let set for 10 min. before cutting. May be refrigerated or frozen
until needed. Makes 8 servings.
