Freezer Fruit Pie

6 cups sliced peeled apples
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
4 T. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
After freezer/before serving:
2 pie shells, 9 inches each
Recipe
In large bowl, stir together apples, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined. Spoon filling into foil pie plate. To freeze: Wrap pie plate with heavy foil. Date, label and freeze for up to 6 months. To serve: Preheat oven to 425. Pop filling out and place in one of the pie shells. Place second pie shell on top and crimp edges together. Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375. And bake another 35 to 45 minutes or until filling is bubbling. Makes 1 pie.
Variation: Try making the fruit filling with peaches or berries. If using berries, replace brown sugar with granulated sugar.
