    Never Fail Homemade Noodles

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup flour
    1 egg
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon butter or butter flavoring
    1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    2 1/2 tablespoons milk
    Yellow food coloring

    Beat egg well. Mix dry ingredients. Add milk, and mix with dry
    ingredients
    until dough is stiff. Roll dough on floured surface until thin.

    Let dough stand for 20 minutes, then cut as desired. Spread cut
    noodles out
    and let dry for two hours.

    Sara serves her homemade noodles with browned butter. You can make
    that by
    putting a stick of butter in a skillet and cooking it on medium to
    high heat
    (the higher the heat, the more even the result). Stir constantly until
    the
    butter is a light tan.

    Browning the butter cooks off water and gives it a nutty flavor.
