    12 ounces spaghetti
    1/4 cup olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
    1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package directions. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet; add the garlic and cook over medium-low heat for 4 or 5 minutes, being careful not to let it brown. Add the red pepper flakes and salt and pepper to taste. Pour over the hot cooked pasta. Dust each serving liberally
    with Parmesan cheese.

    Per serving: 487 calories (percent of calories from fat, 32), 14 grams protein, 67 grams carbohydrates, 4 grams fiber, 17 grams fat, 6 milligrams cholesterol, 142 milligrams sodium.
