List of Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 med onion, sliced thin
1 med green pepper, sliced thin
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
8 oz deli roast beef, shaved
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
8- 12 oz assorted shredded cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, romano, etc)
Recipe
Saute onion, green pepper and mushrooms in one tablespoon of olive oil until limp. Add roast beef (I sliced into into shreds) and saute for about three minutes more. Add worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and pepper and saute two to three minutes more. Remove from head and set aside.
Dust work surface with flour and roll out bread dough to fit a 10 x 15 cookie sheet. Fit dough into pan and build up edges to form a crust. Brush dough with remaining two tablespoons of olive oil. Spread crushed garlic across entire surface of dough. Top with a light layer of shredded cheese then add meat/vegetable mixture, distibuting evenly. Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan, if desire.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minus on until crust is golden and cheese is melted and gooey. Let sit five minutes before cutting and serving.
Note:
You can vary the amounts of garlic and cheese depending on your own tastes. We like LOTS of garlic and LOTS of cheese. If you like philly steak subs or sandwiches, you will LOVE this. Again, thanks to whoever posted it!
