Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce

List of Ingredients
6 rib or loin pork chops, cut 3/4" thick
2 T. shortening or drippings
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 can cr. of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can whole button mushrooms, drained
1 T. minced onion
3/4 diced green pepper
1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. dried onion soup
Recipe
Brown chops in shortening; pour off
drippings. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over
chops. Cover tightly; cook slowly for 45 min.
to 1 hour or until done. Makes 6 servings.
