    List of Ingredients




    1 tablespoon olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    2 teaspoons dried basil
    1 pound pork rib bones
    1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
    1 (14.5 ounce) can tomatoes, any variety
    2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
    1/4 cup red wine
    Italian sausage, or meatballs, optional
    Grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    In a large pot sauté onion, garlic, oregano and basil in 1 tablespoon
    of olive oil. Add the rib bones and let simmer with the lid on until
    the onions are transparent. Once onions are clear, add the tomatoes,
    tomato sauce, and tomato paste, and red wine. This cuts down on
    acidity in tomatoes. If using meat in your recipe add at this time.
    Cover and simmer for several hours.
    Before serving, remove rib bones and discard. Serve with freshly
    grated Parmesan cheese.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings
