Hearty Golden Chowder

List of Ingredients
2 cups boiling water
2 cup chopped potatoes
1/2 cup carrot slices
1/2 cup celery slices
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped chives
1 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cup shredded cheese
Recipe
Add water to potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, chives, salt
and pepper. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Do not drain.
Make white sauce with butter, flour and milk. Add cheese.
Stir until melted then add undrained vegetables. Heat but
do not boil. Top with additional chives if desired.
