    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 Tbsp. sugar
    2 egg whites
    2 egg yolks
    1 c. thick sour cream
    2 Tbsp. melted butter or
    margarine

    Recipe



    Sift together the dry ingredients and set aside. In a
    small mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff but still
    moist (about 1 minute). In large mixing bowl, beat the egg
    yolks at high speed about 1 minute. Add sour cream and the
    melted butter; beat until blended. Add the sifted dry ingredi-
    ents and blend on low speed for 2 minutes. Add beaten egg
    whites and fold in until well blended. Bake in preheated
    waffle iron until golden brown. Waffles should be tender but
    crisp. Yields 8 medium waffles.
