    Praline-Topped Brie

    prep: 10 minutes. Bake: 15 minutes. Oven: 350°

    List of Ingredients

    1 13- to 15-ounce round Brie or Camembert
    1/2 C. orange marmalade
    2T. brown sugar
    1/3 c. chopped pecans

    Toasted baguette slices and/or assorted plain crackers

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350°. Place the round of cheese in a shallow ovenproof serving dish or pie plate. In a small bowl, stir together orange marmalade & barown sugar. Spread over top of cheese. Sprinkle with pecans.

    Bake about 15 minutes for smaller round (about 20 minutes for larger round) or until cheese is slightly softened and topping is bubbly. Serve with crackers. Makes 10 appetizer servings.


    OPTIONAL RECIPE from newspaper:
    1 (1lb. wheel 60 percent (cream) brie
    1-1/2 T. light brown sugar
    2 T. coarse-chopped pecans
    Plain water crackers, such as Carr's

    Rmove the brie from the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Preheat oven to 325°.

    Place the brie in a round glass baking dish in which it fits fairly snugly. Score the top of the brie with 3 crosswise cuts taht are about 1/8" deep, marking 6 pie-shaped segments. Sprinkle with the brown sugar, leaving abjout an inch margin around the edge of the brie, and top with pecans.

    Bake for 20 minutes or until the nuts are lightly browned, the sugar is melting & the cheese is beginning to ooze. Place the baking dish directly on a serving platter & surround with crackers & a serving knife. Makes 8 servings.

    You can adjust this receipe to make as many servings as you want.
