    Sausage-Cheese Balls

    Recipe Introduction

    Freshly ground shredded cheese is a must - don't use pre-packaged shredded cheese! For ease, use a food processor to shred cheese, and then process half of the sausage mixture at a time until blended.

    List of Ingredients

    3 C. biscuit mix (Bisquick)
    1 lb. hot ground pork sausage
    1 (10-oz.) pkg sharp Cheddar Cheese


    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, pressing mixture together with hands. This takes some muscle, but get it well mixed.

    Shape into 3/4 - 1" balls (they will shrink when they cook a bit). Arrange 1" apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 400° 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown. Yield: about 8 dozen


    NOTE: may be frozen uncooked. Bake frozen balls at 400° for 18 to 20 minutes.
