½ cup peanut butter (smooth preferred, but your choice)
4 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal or similar cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
½ cup sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
1 tablespoon water

Butter an 8-by-8-by-2-inch square baking pan; set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the butterscotch morsels and peanut butter over very low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth. Stir in the cereal. Press half the mixture into the prepared pan. Chill up to 2 hours until firm. Set the remaining Krispie mixture aside at room temperature.
When the mixture in the pan is firm, melt the semi-sweet morsels, sugar, butter and water in the top of a double boiler over hot water, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread over the chilled mixture. Sprinkle the reserved cereal mixture evenly over the top and press in gently. Chill 1 hour until firm. Cut into bars. Makes 25 servings.
